Programme
Please note that this will be a combined car and bike show and will be our first Branch ‘Do’ of the year unless we can think of something else!
Arrive before 9.15am if you can so that we can get the stand set up, if you arrive later we can still fit you in
This was to be a new event for us but after continuous rain we have decided that common sense should prevail and we will try and reschedule for a later date
The date for the Branch Christmas Dinner has now been booked for Sunday 5th January 2020
If you have not received an e mail confirming this together with a copy of the menu, then you need to contact Jill
As we have to pay in advance you will need to pay at the December branch night at the latest so that Jill can confirm the numbers attending
This April sees the start of a summer long invitation from Ian to join him on a steady run including a pub lunch
The runs will be on the first Wednesday of every month
The run will start from outside J & S Accessories premises on the Meteor Business park at SStaverton
We had a good turnout from the branch at this event supplemented by being joined by other Norton owners attending the show
This event is the start of our year’s activities
Due to the latest rules laid down by the government we can no longer meet in a large group so all until further notice all monthly branch meetings are suspended
We ought to be considering this event for next year and organise a branch run so thinking caps on
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs introduced Drive it Day in 2005 with the aim of getting the nation’s transport heritage out on the roads and seen by the public. Since then, the national celebration of Historic Vehicles has successfully increased public awareness of the historic vehicle movement whilst bringing a sense of togetherness to the thousands of owners and enthusiasts who attend events and runs up and down the country. Those events, held by over 500 member organisations and clubs that make up the Federation’s membership, are as varied as the vehicles taking part and often include Drive Outs, Rallies, and meetings at local beauty spots or historic sites.
There will be a good display of interesting vintage vehicles etc. on Wednesday August the 18th at Sharpness Docks
This event is by the STVC ( that’s the club who runs the annual South Cerney Steam Rally) and anyone is most welcome to go along and visit this display
Ian is happy to organise a ride out from Gloucester to Sharpness, leaving Gloucester at 16.30; Please note – He will not be going if it is raining
Let him know if you wish to join him to agree a meeting point.
