Jack Williams – The Cheltenham Flyer 1937

The Gloucester Branch of the NOC was founded in 2007 and its location to the north of the City of Gloucester was deliberately chosen so that the branch would attract members from the adjacent counties of Hereford and Worcester and indeed some of our founder members are from these two counties.

We currently meet at the Aviator pub/restaurant which is situated at Gloucester Airport, Staverton.  the entrance to the airport is on Bamfurlong Lane off the B4063.

We are located within a few miles of two famous local hill climb venues, these being Prescott (where the branch now has a regular place at the Prescott Bike Festival held each year in aid of ‘Bloodbikes’) and the Redmarley Hill Climb where the ‘Cheltenham Flyer’ Jack Williams thrilled the crowds in the late 1930’s on his Norton CS1.

Gloucester Branch members are an eclectic mix of personalities who between them can offer a wide range of experience which has enabled fellow club members to overcome problems with their bikes.

Come along to one of our branch evenings (summer months) or Breakfasts on 1st Sunday of the month (Winter) and introduce yourself and have a natter or you can contact us via the details on our contacts page
